WHERE BETTER TO LEARN HOW TO
PLAY FOOTBALL AND MAKE NEW FRIENDS

We at Harrow St Mary's pride ourselves on our friendly atmosphere and quality football training. We recently passed the F.A. Charter Standard mark. To obtain this mark the club had to abide by certain standards set by the Football Association such as, all managers and coaches to have a F.A. coaching badge, child protection officers in position, codes of conducts for parents, managers and players alike, qualified first aider’s too mention but a few.

We also hold several social events each year at the club. Things range from disco’s, kids Christmas party’s, Managers v Dad, Mum's v Girls football games. Plus we also hold a presentation night where all players receive their seasons awards.

Harrow St Mary's also realise that come the winter months training conditions on the pitches becomes very hard for small kids. So as of this year the club will be hiring an astro turf surface to make sure the boys and girls do not miss out on training just because the pitches are unfit to use.

During the summer months we also enter teams into 6 a side tournaments which is a great day out both for the players and families alike. Added to these some teams have also taken their players on tour which has proven a great success and players and parents get the chance to mix outside of football.

As has been stated above all managers and coaches have at least the basic coaching badge, but many of our managers have gone to take a more advance courses. We have already seen the benefits of this as over the last couple of season we have seen several players been asked to train with professional club. With two boys being signed up.

Children’s welfare is also a priority at the club, hence we have set up a child protection scheme. This is where if a child is not happy with something we have an officer that can talk to the child and help solve their problems. Added to this we have a couple of qualified physio therapist at the club plus advance first aiders.

The main aim of Harrow St Mary's is to give boys and girls the chance to play and enjoy football. But also give them the best advice, coaching and safety we can possibly provide.
